SH Acoustics was engaged to provide acoustic and audio systems design for this new $450-million museum located on Pennsylvania Avenue. Working closely with Polshek Partnership, architect; Ralph Appelbaum Associates, exhibit designer; and the Newseum’s own technical staff, we addressed all aspects of room acoustics, sound isolation, noise control, and audio delivery to achieve optimum sound quality and control throughout the facility.

SHA was responsible for 18 multimedia theaters, over 100 interactive stations and videos, two broadcast studios, an event lobby, and a conference center. The Newseum is considered to be one of the most interactive museums in the world.
