For the reimagined Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration project, SH Acoustics has provided integrated acoustic and audio consulting for both the museum’s revitalized exhibit environments and the supporting base building infrastructure.
Working within one of America’s most significant historic landmarks, our team helped shape an acoustic experience that supports immersive storytelling, clear communication, and visitor comfort across more than 100,000 square feet of galleries and public spaces.
Our services included exhibit acoustics, exhibit audio systems, architectural acoustics, sound isolation, building systems noise and vibration control, and the coordination of media-rich environments to create a cohesive and engaging visitor experience.
The new exhibits will be opening in phases from early 2026 through mid 2027 to ensure that the high daily traffic of visitors can still achieve an overall satisfying experience in the Museum.
