Microclub on the Roof, part of PUBLIC, an Ian Schrager hotel has been nominated for a MONDO DR award for best nightclub! We are wildly excited to be part of the team included in this honor. SH Acoustics provided acoustic and audio design and calibration for the club, contributing to an exhilarating experience while preventing noise pollution from reaching nearby apartments.
We also wish to send out a special congratulations to Essential Communications for their excellent AV integration.

Please welcome Ryan Delaney to the SH Acoustics team!
1. Can you please describe your role at SH Acoustics?
My new role is mainly as an acoustic consultant who has professional experience and knowledge in audio engineering. As SHA has made its name as a firm that believes acoustics and audio delivery play hand in hand, I fit into that idea perfectly. I'd say that coming from a background working in recording studios as an engineer you quickly realize how the priority often is on high-end audio delivery with no budget for the actual room or acoustics of the space.
2. What attracted you most about this opportunity?
Coming from a background of mainly recording studio acoustics, I was drawn by the more diverse and dynamic projects that SH Acoustics is a part of. From intricate museum installations to vital daily architectural acoustics, I am excited to tackle many interesting problems. The freedom to move away from standardized/controlled audio delivery systems (stereo/5.1/etc.) and exploring nonstandard immersive audio systems is going to be fun adventure. Definitely out of my comfort zone but also opens up a lot of unique possibilities.
3. What do you do in your spare time?
I work by night as an audio engineer. I specialize in music mixing and mastering. Mainly I work in Rap, EDM, and Pop music.

Join us in welcoming Matthew Tomao to the SH Acoustics team!
1. Can you please describe your role at SH Acoustics?
Although I have successfully led business development roles in my previous fields, this is my first opportunity to "steer the ship" as SH Acoustics’ first Business Development Director. Similar to my experience in the Army, the SHA team approach to address our clients' needs resonated with me, as I have always lived by the client-first mantra. When it comes to ensuring my team delivers on the promises that I make to our clients, my dynamic approach has always served me well and has contributed greatly to my success. The fact that the SHA team of professionals also has such passion for their craft is enough to motivate me to do my best each day.
2. What attracted you most about this opportunity?
It really came down to a combination of the well-defined company plan for growth, the legendary and diverse list of global clients we have served for over 20 years, and the opportunity to be a part of one of the most talented acoustic and audio design teams the industry has to offer.
3. What industries have you worked in before.
My primary fields have involved Electronic Security and the Artificial Intelligence. Through these industries, I have had significant exposure to both commercial and high-end private residential projects, allowing me to fully appreciate SHA’s involvement in that sector as one of our core markets.
4. You’re a published writer? Tell us more!
I spent an inordinate amount of time in my neighborhood comic bookstore when I was in the eighth grade which ignited my passion for writing my first comic book series. After years of failed attempts, I finally landed my first paid writing gig with a major comic book publisher who was willing to take a risk on my original idea about a resurrected soldier who battles the Seven Deadly Sins. An adaptation of my comic Sabbath was published as a full-length novel by Tor books, who also happens to publish the Wheel of Time series. I never would have gotten this far in my writing career without the support of my amazing wife and three children.
