SHA was engaged for this 32,000-square-foot mountain retreat to provide ultimate control of sound for the owners, who planned to entertain on a regular basis and yet desired to have peace and serenity during their daily living. In addition to creating a 20-seat theater with designer Theo Kalomirakis, we upgraded the acoustic quality and sound privacy in many of the common spaces throughout the home. This residence was one of the first widespread applications of both engineered drywall and smooth acoustic plaster in a home setting.
